INSURANCE

Some of growgood psychology’s services in San Diego & California may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. If you do not have Aetna, CIGNA, Evernorth, UHC or TriCare- we can provide you with a Superbill at the end of every month that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

We collect the session rate at the time of session

If you would like to see if you have out of network benefits for potential reimbursement:

Call the behavioral/mental health number on the back of your insurance card and wait for the prompt for benefits. When speaking with a representative, ask:

  • Do I have Out of Network mental health benefits?

  • What are the benefits for standard Out of Network outpatient individual therapy session? Or Biofeedback sessions?

  • What is my Out of Network deductible? How much have I met?

  • Do I need to meet that prior to insurance covering a session?

  • Do I have a co-pay per session or a co-insurance %?

  • What is my Out of Network out of pocket max? How much have I met?

REDUCED/LOW COST FEE

Reduced fee services are available on a sliding scale. growgood psychology believes in cultivating the future of the therapy space by bringing on team members who are post graduate, but pre-licensed. These therapists are able to offer lower costs. Sliding scale fee agreements are limited and decided on a case by case basis.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE DISCLOSURE

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) of expected charges. The GFE shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for services provided by Woven. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. It does not take into account any reimbursement that you may receive as a result of out of network benefits.

The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur.

If you are billed for more than this Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

You may contact Dr. Mae Casanova, Clinical Director of growgood psychology to let her know the billed charges are higher than the Good Faith Estimate.
